Barack Obama and his pro-abortion allies in Congress want to undo our state's pro-life laws with the so-called "Freedom of Choice Act" also known as FOCA.

FOCA would nullify state laws including bans on partial-birth abortion, parental and informed consent laws, restrictions on abortion clinics, bans on taxpayer funding for abortion, requirements allowing only doctors to perform abortions and protections for the conscience rights of doctors, nurses and hospitals. FOCA would also threaten Christian hospitals whose leaders have said they would rather shut down than be forced by the federal government to perform abortions.

In a speech to Planned Parenthood on July 17, 2007, Barack Obama said "The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That's the first thing I'd do."
