To Our Fellow Missourians,

The fight to defend life is an ongoing and great one - it is the civil rights fight of this Millenium.  And this fight is one that we must all join and, in some cases, re-join, with compassion, resolve and, most of all, love.

Beginning with Missouri Citizens for Life and continuing through to today with so many other efforts, Missouri has seen the best of citizen activism in defense of life.  Today, we also find legal battles being fought in Missouri and across America by great pro-life legal teams from the Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), Americans United for Life (AUL), and the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ).   MUL applauds all who fight for life and we join this fight.

We join with groups like Missouri Right to Life (MRL), the Missouri Family Network, individuals like Sam Lee, and the many churches and synagogues that comprise the grassroots movement to fight for life.

MUL grades sitting legislators with special emphasis because they are the men and women on the front lines of the fight for life.  Also, legislators who sponsor pro-life legislation will receive special designation.

MUL also sends a comprehensive survey to all candidates for state office (house, senate, statewide) to put them on record regarding their beliefs regarding life.

MUL grades legislators and endorses candidates - because those who are elected officials will have a serious impact on the fight for life.

MUL opposes abortion, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, and other attacks on life.  MUL also specially opposes abortion providers like Planned Parenthood as they seek tax dollars and access to our schools and government social service providors.
